Title: D&D Game Table (online play)
Post by: Dragon on June 17, 2008, 13:39:34
Having a hard time finding a local group to play D&D? The D&D Game Table (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/insider/gametable) might help resolve that problem. The Wizards of the Coast are currently working on system where characters and dungeons can be built and saved for online or offline gaming. Subscribers to the D&D Insider will then be able to import their characters and dungeons for online play at the D&D Game Table. The system will have text and voice chat, a built-in dice roller, along with lighting and other special effects for the game.

It looks very cool... but of course, there is a cost. The Character Creator and Dungeon Builder tools will be available free, but the D&D Game Table environment will require a regular subscription to the D&D Insider which costs $14.95 per month (or $9.95 per month if a 12-month subscription is purchased).
