Finally... another update to Conquest
« on: December 17, 2012, 00:01:45 »
This evening I got a little time to do something that I have been able to do only slightly more often than getting together with my gaming friends.... I got to fit in some time to do a little web dev on my version of Conquest of the Empire. Based on the timestamps of the files I've adjusted, I'm pretty sure that I started this back in August. That's not to say that I've been working on it or gotten stuck in some difficult programming problem - I simply haven't had the time.  Things just haven't worked out. But tonight, I've finally finished something that will probably only appear as a minor tweak to those who have been playing Conquest here (6sided.com). The change is on the purchase page - it now has a shopping cart style purchasing option, as long as you have JavaScript enabled. I hope that you see this as tiny taste of some good things that I have in mind for the map/movement system, which most likely won't be released until sometime in 2013.

Speaking of new things, I have a new little niece, just born today. She had a rough entry into the world, but hopefully it will be kind to her for many years to come.
"Hello IT. Have you tried turning it off and on again? ... OK, well, the button on the side. Is it glowing?... Yeah, you need to turn it on. Err, the button turns it on. Yeah, you do know how a button works, don't you? No, not on clothes." - Roy (The IT Crowd)
