Nikko 1:6 Hummer H1 highly modified: part 2
« on: January 26, 2013, 00:49:37 »
I've gone from the black to yellow body and deleted the wagon back and now blacking out the rest of the truck. Also switched to tq4 radio and added a scale winch.

Mods so far:

4:1 gear reductions
locked front and rear diffs
Rc4wd scale winch
11.1v 5400mah venom lipo
Traxxas vxl-3s speed control
Traxxas 2075 servo
fully water proofed
head lights, tail lights and light bar (for now)
cut front bumper for clearance (not pictured)
quick disconnect for lights
ditched the nerf bars and stickers
Blacked out-stock wheels, rear bumper, tail light trim, turn signal and snorkel cover
Can run original nikko radio or tq4

Next mods:

Make a canvas open style top+hummer decals for the rocker panels
Wheel adapters are being made at the moment so I can run 12mm wheels
4 link rear or convert to independent suspension swap-move body back 1/4" and stretch wheelbase 1.25"
oil shocks

This is what it looked like stock

I did a ton of water crossing through some deep creeks today along with an scx10. It was soo deep at one point you couldn't hear the motors.

In this video the grass was almost 2 feet tall and the incline was super steep. The water was near a foot deep

Totally AWESOME! That's amazing that you can make it totally water proof to go into the water like that!
"Hello IT. Have you tried turning it off and on again? ... OK, well, the button on the side. Is it glowing?... Yeah, you need to turn it on. Err, the button turns it on. Yeah, you do know how a button works, don't you? No, not on clothes." - Roy (The IT Crowd)
