Hey all-
I am in Orlando visiting with my in-laws for the holidays.  I am going to Tampa one day between 12/26 and 1/2 to meet an old law school buddy.  While I am there, I would like to hit as many game shops as I can.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.  I have a car and a TomTom, so I should be able to find most things.

You can PM me on this site, but a direct email to me at honda305@comcast.net would be best.

Thanks
Tim

Hello Tim,

I'll email this to you too, but I'll post here so others can see this info also.

There used to be a Go! Games Store in the Citrus Park Mall, but I think that closed. It was a larger version of the seasonal Go! Game kiosks that I saw in the mall a few years ago. I'm not sure if they are still around though. Haven't seen them this year.

If you're getting over to Clearwater, I'd highly recommend going to Emerald City. As far as selection goes, that's the best comics & game shop that I've seen in the area.

2475 North McMullen Booth Road
Clearwater, FL 33759

Specifically in Tampa, Armada Games is the only one I've been to personally. Small selection, more of a hang out than game shop.

I found online that there is a Hobby Town USA also in Tampa, but I've only been to the one in Brandon. I can't remember how their game selection was though.

Village Square East Shopping Center
11727 N Dale Mabry
Tampa, FL 33618

Regency Square
2464 West Brandon Blvd.
Brandon, FL 33511

"Hello IT. Have you tried turning it off and on again? ... OK, well, the button on the side. Is it glowing?... Yeah, you need to turn it on. Err, the button turns it on. Yeah, you do know how a button works, don't you? No, not on clothes." - Roy (The IT Crowd)

In case you haven't left yet, there is also Silver Dragon Games near the airport.  The address is:

7902 W Waters Ave
Tampa, FL 33615
(813) 885-2379

If you're short on time, skip the Hobby Town locations.  Unless you're gaming involves 5 - 10 year olds or you like to build games from scratch, you'll get nothing from there.

Oh... and I found this place in Lakeland.  It's on the way to Tampa if you're taking I-4.   ;D
