MotorStorm: Pacific Rift
« on: October 31, 2008, 11:56:33 »
I see that a new MotorStorm just came out, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift. According to IGN, it supports up to 4 players locally and 16 players online! Of course, this is exclusively on PlayStation 3, which is one more notch on the wall for me to get that system. (As if I ever stopped wanting it.)

Wyldwing, are you going to get this one? If you do, be sure to give us your opinion and especially a comparison against the first MotorStorm.
"Hello IT. Have you tried turning it off and on again? ... OK, well, the button on the side. Is it glowing?... Yeah, you need to turn it on. Err, the button turns it on. Yeah, you do know how a button works, don't you? No, not on clothes." - Roy (The IT Crowd)

I've played the demo, and I haven't finished the fist MotorStorm.  The demo was more of the same great action, however.

Games that I have to finish before I buy any more - Call of Duty 3 & Dark Kingdom

Personally, I loved playing MotorStorm on the PS3 at your place, but if this new one supports multiplayer split screen action, I think I'll have to get this one instead of the first one. Online game play is fun and convenient, but I think it's especially fun to be able to race against someone right next to you also.

I played Motorstorm: Pacific Rift at my brother Tim's place last week and I have to say I really liked it. It was great being able to play the game at the same time as my opponent in the room as opposed to time trials. I definitely want to get this game.
