Title: Suggestion - mouseover tooltip
Post by: Dragon on November 08, 2008, 00:01:17
Need to test some things out? Do it here.

bdbdbdb

Acronym works.  ;)

Code: [Select]
[acronym=blah de blah de blahblah de blah de blahblah de blah de blahblah de blah de blahblah de blah]bdbdbdb[/acronym]
By the way, there isn't a button for that one, you have to type "acronym=" and the closing tag at the end.

Does it work?  I moused over it the first time and the additional text appeared for about 5 seconds.  After that, I couldn't get it to reappear.

I had to refresh the page to see it again, and again, it only lasted for 5 seconds the first time only.

5 seconds is about all it lasts, but you shouldn't have to refresh the page to see it. Just move the mouse off and back. (Tested this in FireFox 3 and IE 6.)

Ok... well, I'm telling you that I tried that and it didn't work, and I'm using IE 7.

Ok, I found a nice Javascript tooltip called Sweet Titles (by Dustin Diaz) (http://www.dustindiaz.com/sweet-titles/). I've added it to the forum, so hopefully this meets our needs for tool tips. It works with the acronym tags.

This looks awesome.  I'll have to try it out.  Thanks.  :D
