Hi there just was wondering how many of you out there would open a seald vintage rc and play with it? I know the question is subjective. I have had my fair share of tycos in misb condition and have been really tempted to open to inspect or play with it but never did.
I ask because i hve a new nikko roadshredder coming in the mail which i want to give to my daughter so she can run with my fast traxx. I picked it up for $50 so it wasn't a big hit to my wallet. Knowing that it would be for her i also picked up a landshark used for parts. What would you guys do? I would have put this in the nikko section since the vehicle is a nikko, however the question pertains to new items in general.

Personally, if a sealed box was the best deal for what I wanted to play with, I'd definitely open it.

I couldn't open it.
But I would buy a second. Keep the NIB untouched, then buy a used one to beat on.

fyi the fast traxx will kill the road shredder

Thaks for yor input fellas. I know what you mean Jeff as i do the same whenever possible. Oh yeah i am definately well aware of the fact that the nikko has nothing on the fast traxx, the nikkos motors aren't even set up the same. one thing i think is interesting about the landsharks motherboard is that its coated with rubber(a lil water resistant maybe?)
As of late though i discovered a nikko viper that looks identical to the landshark but no front shocks and the motors are placed side to side much like the fast traxx setup. I wonder how much of a difference this setup would make. Has anyone ever had this model?
