I brought my radio shack enforcer axle to work and ended up fitting a titan 550 motor in. It uses a tamiya 19t pinion gear which is more than double stock but it feels super torquey still. Im soo anxious to try it out but it will probably fry the stock electronics so its gonna get a full conversion by the weekend

Its done pretty well so far, i actually need to take it out more. Last time i messed with it went 19mph on my bushnell radar only running the stock 7.2v lol.

I tried out the enforcer with the titan 550 on stock electronics and it had no power on 9.6v. Then i hooked up my vxl speed control and wow it had sooo much controllable low end torque in lo and hi gear. It will be perfect for crawling and hi gear seemed to turn the tires at least 20mph. Gonna set up the steering tonight so i can make some videos.

Just changing the speed control on stock voltage made 2-3x the power on the outlaw and about 6x the power on the enforcer using the 550 in both tests putting the truck at now 10x the stock power on an 11.1 lipo. Its unbelievable what you can do on a stock motor

Anyone ever run or seen one of those old jrl stock cars with the digital proportional steering and the mechanical speed control? I had one way back when and stock it went 30 mph I'm thinking of getting one off ebay ans putting in hobby stuff and seeing if it can break 50 with a brushless 380 motor and a 3s lipo.

One of those would fly with a Traxxas mini e-revo esc and motor hooked up to 12 cells. I can't even imagine.

I run the mamba micro pro and 11.1 on my smaller cars and with just a brushed motor they all fly. Having a brushless would be ridiculous.

CZ- If there are no breaks or cracks I might want to use it to paint.

I am almost finished with the hobby conversion on the enforcer. It has got to be the most difficult conversion by far with the motor and steering having to be completely set up by scratch. Im gonna have it finished and running tonight and it should be an absolute monster. No idea how fast its gonna go in high gear but realistically 35mph wouldnt surprise me.

Finally finished the enforcer, i took sooo much time trying to make it perfect and it was worth all the wait. Has to be the hardest hobby conversion ive ever done. Its a torque monster in low and in high gear it goes pretty fast.

The steering is really tight and it uses axial links. Now all i have to do is install the reciever box and its 100% water proof and yes its gonna see lots of mud and water.

Here some of the hobby conversions I have at this time. All have servo's and ESC in them.
The 1980's Nikko Buggy has a Traxxas Titan 380 18 Turn IIRC.
The Radio Shack Truck has a Propulse motor.
The New Bright has a "Monster 400" or somthing like that, some mod motor I got from a hobby store 10 years ago.

YES! I did!

When I was kid I found them for sale at some department store for super cheap, like 20 bucks or something like that. I thought what the hell I'll give it a shot. Got it home and found out it was almost hobby grade. Yep, it was pretty quick to. Wish I didn't destroy it. Still have the transmitter for it.

the next cars on the list to be converted are.....

Nikko Scorpion: 11.1v on stock motor, then brushless

9.6v Mutator: will be a pain because ill have to unpress the axles and reinforce the clutches

Im also working on finding a company to machine out gears. I found a place that might be able to do them. If I can get them made at a reasonable cost im goin to have gears made for every car that needs them and maybe have lots of sets made.
