Title: Reverse Charades
Post by: Dragon on February 08, 2022, 16:54:33
On Sunday, we played a fun little party game called Reverse Charades. It's just what it sounds like from the name... like Charades, but the opposite, meaning, more people act while less people guess. It was fun for the situation. We had a half-hour to play something with the family and my wife wanted to play this. Our family is just the right size for 2 teams, so we let our two youngest girls be team captains and pick who would be on each team. I was with Grace and Janai. Beth was with Anna and Isaac. The cards are not too difficult most of the time, but there are definitely some that are easier to get than others. Fortunately, there weren't any that we came across that seemed out of date, although we did skip a couple because our youngest girls didn't know what they were.

For this style of game, it was fun. Not the kind of game I'd like to play every day, but it was nice for some family time. We actually even played with a modification after our 30-minutes were up and Janai was heading out. Isaac left the game also, but Beth and I continued to play a few more rounds having everyone act while one other person tried to guess. Playing that way, since there weren't really teams anymore, could lend to sabotaging the clues for the person guessing, but we didn't do that and we just had fun.

Yesterday, we played Reverse Charades for a while. Janai and Isaac were Team Captains. Janai's selected Beth and Anna to be on her team while I was on Isaac's team along with Grace. We just played for half-an-hour, while our friend Chris was setting up another big game for us to play. The game was close - in the end, Janai's team won by a single point.
