Title: Trogdor! The Board Game
Post by: Dragon on May 30, 2022, 18:20:04
Today I played Trogdor! The Board Game with my youngest daughter. It’s a fun little co-operative game based on a popular internet cartoon where players work together moving a dragon around and destroying the countryside. I’ve been a fan of HomestarRunner.com for many years, especially the series of cartoons called Strong Bad Email. Of course, if you know much about me you’d know I’d be interested in checking out the episode titled Dragon (https://homestarrunner.com/sbemails/58-dragon). That is where Trogdor came from. The board game follows the same basic concept as the video game which was a Flash-based game playable on that website.

I got this game for Christmas and have played it a couple times with my 18-year-old son, but this was the first time playing the game with my 9-year-old daughter. Being a co-op, we could have planned our moves out a little more but I wanted my daughter to have as much of options as she could with minimal influence by me. We setup the game using the 1st Easy level. We didn’t use either of our Keeper abilities but did use the both Items that we had, which gave us a Peasant from The Void into our Trog-O-Meter and allow us to teleport around the board a few times. We did manage to win the game with only 1 Peasant remaining in our Trog-O-Meter.
