This is the one from eBay, and I got to him early and the steering pin was missing but he took the one off the hopper he is selling and put it on this truck originally I almost got it for 33$ but I had to up it to 43$ then. But I would be great if you had the controller I need, it also is missing the battery cover
Anyone got a battery cover? Haha

I'll either just make velcrow straps or fix it how I did with the 2 fast traxx, bend finishing nails to fit through the original holes for the pin, then epoxy or glue onto whatever I use for a door( the fast traxx both had theirs) and bam done. I'll take pictures of the door fixes on the fast traxx. They are nice

i don't know if its twin motor
Title: Re: 49mhz remote pistol grip can anyone help me?
Post by: czstycor/c on August 20, 2010, 18:26:42
so it is a twin motor. but the body isn't screwed on, so the shocks on the back don't stay.  so i'm kinda confused it seems like the back shocks are too small. because the body hits the engines without the shocks even being compact.

Do normal Bandits have a "cap" type piece attached to the bed that the shock goes up in?

anyone with bandits, could you help me and show me pictures of your rear shocks???

And i still need a remote for it!!! all my 49mhz remotes make it just go backwards.

Post by: performerrpm on August 20, 2010, 21:04:10
the regular bandits have the top half of the shock that snaps onto a peg in the bed of the body, the bottom half of the shock is just a small plastic rod that slides into the top half of thats snapped on the bed shock the bed. without the body of the bandit screwed down the shocks wont stay together either. also theres not awhole lot of clearence on the bandits but they dont touch when just sitting either

i kinda was haha, i don't know how fast a bandit is but i wana say its not as fast as a bandit but i will try it again, and screw the body on. its in very nice condition though. its got the sticker on the antenna still
Title: Re: 49mhz remote pistol grip can anyone help me?
Post by: performerrpm on August 21, 2010, 01:35:14

So the remote from my centipede seems to work it completely. But I haven't taken it outside just back and forth and it barely moved. But we will see, as of now I'm not selling I want to see if I'm impressed with it first.
Title: Re: 49mhz remote pistol grip can anyone help me?
Post by: performerrpm on August 21, 2010, 20:45:31
but does the centipede remote have the turbo function? if not you may only be getting1 speed and its not gonna be lightning quick if its like any of the other tycos without the turbo part
Title: Re: 49mhz remote pistol grip can anyone help me?
Post by: czstycor/c on August 21, 2010, 21:29:56
It doesn't have a turbo, but it seemed pretty quick. No faster than my fast traxx. But is still have the shock problem, and I screwed the body on. They fall down if it's not on a surface to push the the rear up. Should I just put bigger shocks on the back and if so, how do I take the wheels off to get to the srews to take the stock shocks off?

Do you think a nikko turbo pistol grip would work?

An on the centipede remote, to control the truck forward and reverse are switched.

FYI I did take it out to try it it's hard for me to drive anything without treads. But the 4wd makes it turn really slow in the fast gear, I didn't take it off road though didn't want to make it dirty haha.

Ahh! Nice!! I still have my first, super fast traxx. Love it still. I would trade this for a real nice twin turbo lamborgini, really I got it cause I wanted a bandit. Saw this and though it looked cooler then a regular bandit. I really just wanna get it to run correctly before I'd let it go. You know for the experience of having my first real truck! This is my only one that I steer with the front wheels rather than each side.

What about  tyco 9.6v shocker, essentially its a Aero Hopper just different stickers I have with battery, charger, pistol grip remote and some boot$$. Vehicle works perfectly or a tyco 9.6v heads up Turbo Hopper.

i doubt you can get the rear wheels off, if its like other tycos. what i do to get the rear shocks off the diff is take the phillips bit from a combnation scredriver kit and put it on/or in the screw then turn it with pliers........slow to get off but works. the nikko remote will most likeley be reversed on the controls to, thats how its been for me when i tried.

i passed up a 49mhz hopper pretty nice lookin on ebay for pretty reasonable since i really didnt need one, but you could consider buying one of the ot so nice hoppers or whatever in 49 mhz and use that remote???

175 bucks already........dam, i knew i shoulda bought that mint one!!!! i like the looks of that turbo nissan truck just as well as i like the bandit really

did you see that black twin lambo that sold for 115 bucks a couple days ago, i guess that was cheap considering i sold a red single motor but lil nicer lambo for 125 or so

I didn't know it sold, but yeah I want one of those.

Do you think though the nikko turbo remote will activate the turbo on the truck? I've never had a pistol grip so I wouldn't notice having opposite controls.

I'm not gunna sell it yet. But I'll keep your offer around,

Good luck getting the Nikko remote to work. I've tried both the 27 & 49mhz on my Tyco's and they did nothing or went in reverse.

That's a really unique Bandit (if that's what it's called) that you have there! I've never seen any photos of that one before now. Very cool.
