you have the new bright corvettes!!!! are they the 9.6v?? i have/had one but i killed it and it would only go in revese. it was actually my sisters. i've been watching to see if one ever shows on ebay but they are all 6v. and i see you dont have the blue f150 from new bright but all the other colors.

do you have enough mutators and 4x4 off roaders? haha
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: Tyco Bandit King on January 09, 2011, 21:08:58
Yeah those older Toyota body trucks are some of my favorites
CZ:

Those are all 1/10 scale 9.6v corvettes. The one in the middle is my original from 1998. Im halfway done converting the one on the right to a hobby car.

The blue new bright F150 is on the shelf but I took its body off and put one on that I painted to look like the black one I had back in 96. The body is in a closet, ill be taking pictures of all the rc bodies I have and posting them too very soon.

I think I have enough of the off-roaders haha, 2 on the left are brand new, the 3rd is my original,  the 4th is the hobby car and the one on the right is for driving how ever I feel/parts haha. I have another mutator somewhere
around here

Post by: czstycor/c on January 09, 2011, 21:14:53
oh man, those corvettes are fast and so light i loved whipping it around, it could compete with the sf traxx on the street.

darn i thought i had the one you needed to have all the colors haha.

did you see the hopper bodies i posted that you might want for your hobby grade wild thing? but you probably have more wild thing bodies
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: Tyco Bandit King on January 09, 2011, 21:48:49
They were very fast for the motor they used in them, it would really fly with a hopper motor in it.

The good generation of those new bright trucks were made from 96-99 years after sucked. They made that f150 in many colors so you could still come across one I dont have, like the pewter f150 they made in 1997 (on the red ones box). The silverados were the fastest of them and would pop the wheels almost into a wheelie from a dead stop. The jeep on the left is dual motor and 4wd from 1993, the way to tell 4wds apart from 2wd is they have dual shocks in the front and last year of them was 95

I was gonna ask you about that yellow body to put on my hopper and how much you wanted for it

Title: Re: My collection
Post by: performerrpm on January 09, 2011, 21:53:25
hmmm i didnt know there ever was a good year for new bright, especially one that would pop a wheelie by using revers let alone a dead stop. be nice to see one in action
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: czstycor/c on January 09, 2011, 21:54:18
well would you want the other body that has the  blach roll cage on it too?
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: czstycor/c on January 09, 2011, 21:57:02
yeah there was a good time for new brights, the f150 and the corvettes were good.
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: Tyco Bandit King on January 09, 2011, 22:04:24
Yeah back in the 90's they were awesome fun for very cheap. You wouldnt believe the kind of mud and water I would go through with those 2wd trucks. If you reverse them then go forward they will stand on the back bumper, even in high gear. The ones made after 1999 dropped significantly in power

The 1/10 scale ram on the left is from 1998 and it has more power than any non hobby grade car, it wheelies like crazy and grass doesn't even slow it down. On the other hand the one on the right is a Baja Extreme made in 2002 and has literally about 1/3 as much power. Same with the rock crawler jeep on the left made in 2006 it has no power stock

I might want both depending on how much you want for them
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: czstycor/c on January 09, 2011, 22:10:14
maybe like 12 for them or you could just take of some on the outlaw i want
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: Tyco Bandit King on January 09, 2011, 22:16:41
Yeah thats not bad, I still need to think what I wanna do on the outlaw.
Title: Re: My collection

Title: Re: My collection
Post by: performerrpm on January 09, 2011, 22:27:45
looking into your colection i dont see a red mint red bandit in the box, i thought maybee you had two of them and thats why you sold one too turbobandit, i guess the one i have is the exact one you posted pics of along time ago on the old forum
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: czstycor/c on January 09, 2011, 22:48:47
actually he has a stash of about 20 of them that he wont show anyone.
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: Tyco Bandit King on January 09, 2011, 22:50:34
Haha I know how it is wanting an outlaw, Ive wanted one since I saw my first one at Toys r us in 1994. The one I always remembered was black so I have an attachment to that one so I would be willing to sell the red one, say what would you wanna do any trading on it?

Yeah thats the one and actually, I didnt even have it for sale when he bought it. I made an ad for rc cars on craigslist about 1.5 years ago and he kept my number and called me after I had erased it.
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: czstycor/c on January 09, 2011, 22:56:29
well i don't want an outlaw actually, it wouldn't be for me at all. i'm really trying to bond with my little brother since we have no shared interests in life, and i missed out on key years when he was stuck in the hospital with cancer. so i started playing with these cars in the summer with him and we actually were having fun, i showed him a bunch of tyco's and this was his absolute favorite even though i said it is slow, he didn't care he likes the "power boost engine" so i've been on the hunt ever since and have missed all that i've seen.

i might trade depends what you want.
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: performerrpm on January 09, 2011, 23:00:58
whats a pitty is that this time last year there were about 5-6 of them on ebay a couple nib and they didnt really get alot of action. was even a red and a black one with a 70 buy now that stayed up for 2 weeks
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: czstycor/c on January 09, 2011, 23:06:41
see it is killing me that i didn't find it for christmas and he had to settle for the scorcher. i saw his hopes get up when he saw the present was from me and then saw tyco on the box but then said "its a scorcher" with dissapointment in his tone.

I really wanted to get one, and hopefully have some one on here do what you did Bandit king and make it be able to keep up with the fast traxx and even sf traxx, then use the power boost engine and put lights on it. so i will get one sooner or later.
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: Tyco Bandit King on January 09, 2011, 23:14:57
As much as I hate selling mine and rarely, rarely do anymore I would love to see it go to a good home where it would be loved and appreciated by someone like me who really wanted one. What would you think about trading it for the twin turbo hopper? Does that one run?
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: czstycor/c on January 09, 2011, 23:26:41
man i Knew you would say that! haha oh man thaty will kill me but here is the deal withthat one. yes it runs, just it doesn't straiten out right when it turns, i had replaced the plastic pieces on the steering and that helped but its not perfect. the servo probably needs greesed or i was just going to put a different one in. the front spoiler is broke, but not that it doesn't function on the car just the bottom half of the groved circl circle that goes around the pin broke from age. i have the piece and it can be j.b. welded back but it doesn't affect the spoiler staying on really, plus i would take the spoiler off to run.

but bottom line it runs, but there is no remote. i use my universal 49mhz remote to i think 5 different cars for it. the romote with your lambo would work

i kinda wish you would have said a super fast traxx
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: Tyco Bandit King on January 09, 2011, 23:52:54
Haha,im just trying to think of something thats worth letting this one go for. Ive just spent the last 10 mins running it on wood floors and it actually gets up to speed and is pretty quick. Judging by the tires it hasnt had near the miles that my other 2 have. It drives arrow straight and the steering returns perfect. The thing that sucks is that my hobby outlaw 1st gear is stripped out of and my stock black outlaw the slide lever wont keep it in high. This red one runs perfect in every sense and is practically mint. Im not sure where the remote is but ive been running it with my super 4wd pickups remote.

Actually I was kinda wanting a super fast traxx more. Do you have a spare that runs?
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: czstycor/c on January 10, 2011, 00:00:01
haha i do have two, and the one on the way lacking the back wheel. hmm, i no the super fast traxx is worth far more than the out law since in the past 8 months i haven't seen one sell for than 30 bucks.

but no remote that is a bummer. is there a box?
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: Tyco Bandit King on January 10, 2011, 00:11:16
Yeah its kinda hard to put a value on it but it really just comes down to the people that really want them seeing them at an auction. Ive seen these sell for $20 then ive seen them sell for over well over $120 several times. Its the same as a bandit, I picked my black one up in the box for $65 a few years back then ive seen asking over $500 for them. Outlaws are extremely rare about 5 times more rare than the bandit and they do have a high value to them but if nobody is looking for one they wont go for much at that time. Same goes for any car. People overlook outlaw because its not a 9.6v car but when the collector crowd starts realizing how rare they are they are gonna shoot up in value, especially since they are 7.2v and only cars in 6 cell that had an actual special useable feature. I will look for the remote but I have soo many around its hard to sift through them all. I dont have the box for any of my outlaws

im trying to figure out how you dont get stressed trying to figure out which one of 200 r/c do ya wanna mess with, id have a melt down
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: Tyco Bandit King on January 10, 2011, 00:26:15
Ya know it can be frustrating at times, I just dont know when im gonna stop buying them
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: czstycor/c on January 10, 2011, 00:28:11
why is it that 6 cells is 7.2v, but the outlaw is clearly slower than a bandit, but the sftraxx is 6cells but they are larger cells and it is faster?

i don't know there is probably a simple answer.

but i got some possible options.

i send you the twin hopper  and you send me the outlaw with bandit stickers.

or i send you a super fast traxx, with the hopper bodies and maybe even extra treads and some money. but id also send a bandit/hopper chasis that you make hobby grade with that stock mod and all(maybe aluminum gears haha!)? and send back with the outlaw and stickers.

this second option is my dream one haha don't expect you to really consider it  ;D but i had to put it out there
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: Tyco Bandit King on January 10, 2011, 00:42:48
Its because the motors in the fast traxx are much more powerful and the speed control throw out more current. If you were to use the speed control from an outlaw for instance, and say wire it to the fast traxx it wouldnt be near as fast. Its a combo of motor and speed control.

I will have to get the stickers drawn up first then can start printing them out. As for the gears I need to get in touch with the machinist and get him a set of gears to start with, which I still need an extra rear end to send out.

Haha yeah ill trade the outlaw for a super fast traxx, hopper bodies, some treads and cash........

Let me know what your wanting for that super and maybe we can come up with something or other trades
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: czstycor/c on January 10, 2011, 01:01:54
haha, i have an extra rear that would be the one you could send out then mod.

well, i know the sfast traxx is worth 200 easy. without the box, which no one will get the box from me haha. treads i'm pricing at 50 a pair. the bodies i'll do cheap 12. so that is 262.

the outlaw is 65 if you get the remote? i dont really know the value. and the stickers could be ????
but if you want you could use the rear i have its solid axle off a wild thing. but i would need it back haha.

i think ya should have picked option two  ;D

but take a look at my cellection im sorry there isn't much to choose from, see if there is stuff you like.

Hell yeah, thats a sweet collection youve got there. You forgot about the porsche 959 haha.

Whats the status/condition on the parts twin turbo lambo and eliminator

Also kinda interested in the mini fast traxx
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: czstycor/c on January 10, 2011, 08:06:30
of snap you are thinking about touching m traxx collection! haha the orange mini traxx has no remote so i dont know what its like its just for show. the yellow one in the box is in nice condition mini scuffs but i think it has paper work, runs nice.

parts/project lambo. i've been piecing it together, the tires aren't original, causing them to rub the body, and the steering doesn't straiten, so it needs to bee cleaned or a new servo. there are some other minor part changes too

parts eliminators. both rears are stripped but the one doesn't have an original rear its a bandit/hopper rear. i know the circut board works on one, the other i don't know the wires are all pulled and need resoldered.  there are three extra 49mhs eliminator body one that is bad, one that needs cleaned and a nice one the is lacking the eliminator sticker across the hood and the 9.6v turbo on the roof.

yeah i did forget that little porche haha i had just gotten it that day. i've never had a 6v car that impresses me. but the mini eliminator is sweet haha for indoors, but i want a 6v that will beast it up outside
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: Tyco Bandit King on January 10, 2011, 13:21:03
Yeah I was just curious if any of them were anything I could use.

After driving both the stock outlaws last night I think I had more fun with them than any other tyco lately. Since they weigh nothing they can be as fast as 9.6v cars with just a speed control upgrade
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: czstycor/c on January 10, 2011, 14:37:17
well i have more parts haha.

now you got me curious, you could make it compete with the 9.6v?
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: Tyco Bandit King on January 10, 2011, 15:24:07
Actually with 7.2v and the conversion it already competes with the 9.6v cars. Im gonna race them head to head to see how well it really does against them. If I ran a 7.4v lipo im sure it would be a good bit faster than any 9.6v tyco but I would have to test it first.
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: czstycor/c on January 10, 2011, 15:58:23
that is what id want it to be able to do beat the bigger tyco's. as you reffered to it a "sleeper outlaw". i want to make some tyco's sleepers
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: Tyco Bandit King on January 10, 2011, 17:30:46
If right now I wanted to try to beat every 9.6v tyco made with the outlaw I would take my mamba speed control out of the off-roader and the 7.4v lipo and install them in the outlaw. It would almost definitely be much faster.
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: czstycor/c on January 10, 2011, 18:05:35
very cool. i realized that shelf with the off roaders, it is all the same body styles across the shelf. or basically.

and that new bright ram does look sweet, i've never seen one before
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: Tyco Bandit King on January 10, 2011, 18:37:30
The off-roaders have a 79 f150 body and the wild cougars have a very similar style old ford body resembling one from the mid 80's. I got the off-roader the same year my brother got the wild cougar for xmas in 1992.

Yeah the ram is made to look like the 97 SS/T trucks one of my favorite new brights
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: czstycor/c on January 10, 2011, 18:59:24
before i saw that i thought that my bros f150 was pretty big, haha.

see and it looks like you have one too many wild cougars  ;D
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: Tyco Bandit King on January 10, 2011, 19:27:48
Haha I wish I had a few more wild cougars cause I would modify one if I had an extra. One is new in box and the other is my stock drivers. The next would be a dual mod motor hobby setup.
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: czstycor/c on January 10, 2011, 23:17:50
you could do it to the nikko road shredder i have. i'm not to fond of it, cause its slower than the fast traxx, but it is imported haha
Title: Re: My collection

I like the Xj220. What battery does it take?
Title: Re: My collection
Post by: Tyco Bandit King on January 16, 2011, 12:22:50
Yeah I have a landshark which is the same as the road shredder just different body. They are both similar to the wild cougar except it doesnt have the fake shocks up front and has a completely different radio system. The wild cougar as actually a bit faster and has soo much more control with its pistol grip control. It drifts awesome on woods floors. The road shredder/landshark would be a good car for a hobby conversion.

The XJ220 takes 8 aa batteries, really needs a 9.6v conversion
