My sons bike started acting up and of course the waranty ran out long ago. So I popped it apart to find a wire that had broken off, but I can't find where it went to re-solder it. If anybody happens to have one, especialy if it's already apart, could you please take a look and see where the black wire on the circuit board labeled P5.0 goes. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve

Just scan the board for a solder joint with a little bit of wire strands sticking out. The wire is'nt going to break off perfectly clean.

I thought the same thing, so I scanned the board and the servo motor several times. I even used a lighted magnafying glass and I got nothing. The only thing I haven't opened and look at was the wheelie mechanism and this wire is too short for that. One spot on the servo motor looked like a possibility, but when hooked to it every thing went dead. It does work some what in it current state, with the wire in question not hooked up, but it only has about a 5-10 foot range and cuts out often where nothing works until you cycle the on/off switch.

Your sure the transmitter battery is good?

Yep, batteries are are new in the controller and fully charge in the bike.

What colour is the wire?

Black.

well id be willing to bet that black wire is your reciever antenna unless yours has a metal wire antenna.
i dont have this r/c so i couldnt tell ya where to look for the connection at the board, but thats what i bet it is since the reception is so lo

Nope. White with a black tracer goes to a metal wire antenna. The black wire is too short for that anyway.

I'm almost tempted to buy one off ebay just to rip it apart and solve this nightmare, err... I mean mystery.
