Hi people. ;D Hoping someone can help. Need a part for my "TYCO" Radio Control Twin Turbo Lamborghini 1/12th. I'm not sure if it should be referred to as an A-arm but it is on the left (driver) side of axle. It has broken off the cylindrical piece with the screw that inserts into what would be the front axle. Anybody have what I need to get this car running true again?? ??? Happy to include pics if necessary.

here you go buddy!!!,,this should be all the parts you need,,im sure you can take the good top a-arms and switch them and use them where ever you need

No prob at all man,i have actually broken that exact same piece before on a twin turbo indy which is the same chassis,,,,i hope you get it and get yours up and running again

Twin Turbo Indy?? :o I think you may have just passed on a little nugget of new knowledge there. At least for me. Sooo I could also be searching for this Indy model? Interesting. Any chance you got a pic or anymore info showing me what I'm looking for? BTW did you notice in that guy's description about both lower a-arms being cracked? Is the piece I'm needing considered the upper a-arm? :-\

Yep you got it man lol they are the same chassis as long as there both twin's and yeah i did notice his description but just figured you could flip them around and use the uppers as lowers,,Actually you can use the uppers as lowers i just disassembled mine and they are the same so as long as you only broke one or two your in good shape with that red lambo he has on ebay here is a pic of my twin turbo but any twin will do

Thanks man. 8) I bet those Indy cars were selling at the same time I bought mine but you know I don't remember. All I remember was that black shiny Lambo calling out to me! ;D Nice cars you got there. Looks like they may share wheels too.

are you talking about the balljoint type deal that connects the wheel to the control arm? or a arm?

Yea photobucket rocks, especially if you are unfamiliar with [img] tagging cause you can just upload your picture then move your cursor over it and the options pop up to copy the link with [img] tag included. One click copies it, extremely simple!

Hey Poptart,
Was looking at my Lambo and I don't believe the uppers and lowers are interchangeable. In fact, the lowers are left and right due to the fact that the lower arms have the extra bracket molded into it that the cylindrical piece is screwed into. :( Sooo if I'm right I have to find a left lower (driver's side) that is not cracked or broke. That really makes it a difficult find now, huh? ???

And I will try to glue it but I want a new one to replace on this car that has NEVER been run. After 20+ years I took it out of the box and found the broke piece. Factory defect. >:(

Yes and no,,,now that you've posted pics i see exactly what you need,,,i broke the same piece on mine before as I'm sure many people have and i just Used that loctite super gel like Stan mentioned and it worked great Ive had a few high speed crashes since and its held up great and you cant tell where i did it so I'm happy,,,if you dont trust that you could always plastic weld it or just wait for a parts car with that has not been crashed or just on the pass side,now you know you can use one off a twin turbo Indy as well

Well, looking at the guy's pics in the auction I don't see any cracks in the lowers but he says there are. I just wonder if he's looking at those hairline "looking" cracks that I even see on my car that has never been run. He may be looking at injection molding lines and assuming they are cracks. Can't get him to respond thru eBay's mail. Makes me wonder what's up. :-\

Yeah he maybe talking about those,i went over his pictures with a fine tooth comb and i didnt see any,, i do know the mold lines your talking about i see them on mine also and that always surprises me,i sell real cars and you would think if you want to sell something you would respond to potential buyers but giving them the benefit of the doubt it is the holidays and they could just be away from the CPU but on the other hand with all the modern tech. we have with ipads,androids,blackberry's etc.we are never really "away" from the net and our accounts,,,,if i get a MSG or notification from ebay or paypal it goes straight to my droid so idk

He'd already listed it once and now he's dropped the price a bit but I still think it's too much for a single Turbo.
I can't help wondering if the lower arms would be the same as the Twin.

they prob are but that one is far to nice to part out unless that was your last resort,,im sure someone on here has both a twin and a single and could look and compare them once they see this thread

well since that is my lambo i would think i know haha
i own both and the single has a solid front, it wouldn't work. i do have a "spare" lambo it runs but not the greatest cause its pieced together.

i'm trying to figur out where that is on the car, it'd be nice to see the a chasis picture of where its broken, to me the piece off yours is the shock cap.

hey cz your are correct sir!!! but its the end part of the third shock that sits in the middle of the front twin turbo chassis hope that helps

It is the end cap that inserts into the front axle looking piece. But this cap has a screw in it that connects to a bracket molded into the left lower arm. (Driver's side) The jagged section you see is part of the bracket broken off the arm.

I made one bid but when I still didn't hear from him I just let it go. Turned out to be a good thing because AFTER the auction he sends me a message telling me they ARE snapped in the same area as mine. I knew I had a bad feeling about him not answering during the auction. Glad I didn't get stuck with two broke cars! ;)
I see this INDY car but I don't believe it's a Twin. Plus way more than I want to pay and too nice to part anyway.

hey man that's good to hear!!!,,and that's not a twin its the newer style Indy chassis so no go on that one anyways ill keep looking for you so hopefully we'll come up something soon to get you back on the road,,I'm getting pretty good at plastic welding so if we don't come up with something I'll sell you the one off my twin Indy and you just send me you broke one and ill fix it and put it on my mine,,you just promise if you ever decide to sell it i get first dibs,,it is mint in the box right???,,you know I'm a tyco box fanatic lol

The first eliminator I got for christmas had a light broke off the rollbar, I guess the guy at the factory that packed it wasn't to gentle. Everytime I buy a hobby grade kit there's always a part missing or broken so id believe his car came broken new. Maybe fedex delivered it lol :)

4??? Lol man id seriously be interested in buying a 27mhz parts car no matter what the condition as long as the motor,steering,and gears work to fix my old beaten and broke down lambo and no i have the Ferrari red one lol

;D Hey I might have what you need. The last red I bought is the one I got the good lower a-arm from. Problem was the other three arms on this car were either broken or cracked. Crazy huh?
Well anyway, I had bought another red one because not only was it in super shape but the guy that had it had actually ordered replacement parts from TYCO back in the day! Well guess what? He actually used the NOS to replace his broken lower a-arm. But the other three arms in his 'parts package' was exactly what I needed to replace all the broken/cracked ones on the other car. I did do a nice glue repair on the lower a-arm that came off the black car but other than that the steering is cherry now in the red one I initially bought for parts.
It is missing the battery door, both mirrors, the front bumper is cracked a bit underneath and the antenna has been cut down flush with the body. But other than that it really does look good which leads me to the point that you may be better off taking parts off yours to replace on this one. You'd be ready to roll then!
That car will be the last one (after the others) I list on ebay so if you're interested I can send you some pics.
