Hammer Pinion gear

So I got a non functional Hammer that I recently converted to hobby and it works great. Now I'm trying to put a Traxxas Titan 380 in it, but I cant get the pinion off it it. I tried a pinion puller and heat and long story short it's not going anywhere. Plus it would be nice for each motor to have a gear for easy swaps.

I was looking at hobby pinions, but I don't know if any would work. I know that the Hammer pinion is 10t, but I don't know the pitch. I know it's a long shot, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about a pinion I can try?

to get mine off I used a pair of pliers with wire cutters in the middle section.
slide the cutter under the gear and the slope of the wire cutter will raise the gear up enough to slide your fingers under the pliers. Then yank it out

Found a matching pinion out of a broken Terrain Twister, I had to bore it out and loc-tite it but it works.

Since I made the three roll bar lights functional, so I took it out in the dark for a short run. It really screams and I don't even think I got it up to top speed. I can already tell that it surpassed my Eliminator.

I recently got a Hammer with no motor in it & had planned on putting the Titan 380 in it as well only I had no idea where to find a pinion that would fit it. Which pinion did you use out of the terrain twister? I have a couple at my folks house. I'd sacrifice one if I knew it would get my Hammer up and running.

The pinion came from the small motor that controls pitch of the pontoons, I had to drill out the gear to fit the 2.3mm shaft. I found some micro drill bits at Harbor Freight and the No. 22 thread locker that I used to secure it. (The pontoons have bigger motors, maybe the correct shaft gear is in there? I already had the "pitch" motor out.)

Turns out the Titan 380 is longer than a normal 380 because of the fan. So to put the motor cap back on I used some 1/4 x 1/4 nylon spacers with a diy cereal box cardboard washer to make up fill the gap, and longer (#4 sheet metal) screws of course.

Fantastic! That takes all the headache out of it   Thanx for your help. Oh & I was gonna ask you what your set up was for your lights. I modded mine when I was 12. I can't remember where I found em but I had some really small actual lights I fitted in there (not leds), then I hid a 9v under the engine & dremeled out a small spot in the bed to mount the on & off switch. I wish I still had my original one. I even put chains on it to lol.

I squeezed some superflux LEDs in by hollowing out the light buckets. Then I ran a wire down the exhaust cut-out inside the body with a jst connector directly to the trucks' battery connector. (I plastic welded a Traxxas connector inside.) I have to mate the jst connectors if I want the lights on, and I can pretty much make it look stock again with ease.

I found a Terrain Twister @ a thrift store today for $3. I pinion installed & man this thing flies!!! with a 9.6v 1600 Mah battery in it I'd say it's about as fast as my Golden Arrow if not faster. Thanx for your help 5WheelScorcher. Now for my next project, The E-Muggy conversion!

I just happened to check this place right now.

It was a fun conversion, I had an instance when the pinion came unglued, no big deal.

Last week I blazing through freshly cut grass and shorted the motor with grass clippings, I picked the grass out and it was up an running again. I thought I burned it up, I have to watch the motor temps, but I don't run it for too long anyway.
