More RC tracks in Florida!

I worked at the track when I was younger, in IL. I raced for Team Associated and futaba. Coming to FL I assumed it would be Tracks galore, but we have nothing! I'm not sure why.. is RC (1/10 scale, 1/8th) really just not popular anymore?

I get it is expensive. However it is great for adults and kids to learn about engineering, teamwork and other life skills.

Anyone race local to pinellas county? Or Hillsborough?

I remember a couple tracks in Tampa area, but I think they are both closed now. One was in Riverview, on 31 near the VFW hall. The other was in Hudson on 19... that one might still be there, but I haven't been up that way much to see.
