ok...glad i found this forum.
have a Super Bandit for many many years, and lately i decided to try and get it up and running again.
discovered the remote control is missing completely.
you guys any idea what i can use? or do i need the exact RC?

Dragon:
Lots of people have come to this site wondering about missing remote controls. I know that some Tyco remotes will control vehicles other than what they were made for, but this isn't always the case. Since there were two frequencies for the early Tyco vehicles, I think the main thing would be to find the right frequency for what you have. Another option is to upgrade the transmitter and receiver to "hobby grade," which would open your options to more frequencies anyway.

Best of luck to you in your search. I hope you come back and let us know what you discover in the process.

well the Eliminator is 27mhz
thats all i know.
:)

tyco toys:
Any  27MHz  remote  should work...... Turbo Blaster/Hopper/Outlaw/Eliminator/Aero Hopper/Hammer/Lamborghini/  you name it.  Just make sure the remote has both "Forward"  and "Turbo" modes.

now to try and find one of those remotes
proving a lot tougher then i thought
Mattel told me that they've nothing that will work

st5150, you said the eliminator was 49mhz didn't you? so that won't work i guess

any idea where is is there a removable frequency crystal in this truck?
friend said he had a spare remote and crystal that i could use
