I've almost let another week go by without updating my website. Today I'm finally getting my journal entry from Sunday posted and I'll have to find something to put up for last weeks Weblog page.

I'm almost done coding version 3 of my Randomizer game. This one includes a record of winners and will display a players ranking (if the player wins a game) and the top three players. Once I complete this I'm planning to start working on my Duels game. I hope the guys at work find this next one a little more interesting since the Randomizer seemed a bit too tough for their puny little brains. (HAHAHA - just kidding guys.)

Ken (Voodoo) has been showing me some really cool stuff done with PhotoShop. It's amazing seeing some of the graphic effects that are being taught on some websites. I think it would be really cool to have the time to learn it all, but obviously I'm leaning more toward the coding aspect of things right now rather than the graphical aspect. Don't get me wrong - I love art, but I just don't have the mind to create it right now. (With that in mind, I need to scan some more of my old paintings and post them on the site, along with a bunch of other pictures and stuff for my Art & Fantasy section.)

Beth bought some new floor tiles, so we have a new home project to prepare for. I'm not looking forward to doing it, but Beth is really excited about getting the carpet out of our house. She says she really doesn't want the babies to be crawling around on this nasty carpet. I didn't think it was that bad, but I could understand what she's getting at. It's anyone's guess on how long the carpet has been here.

I got a few new CDs this week from Blastbeats - Eternal Decision (s/t), Training For Utopia "The Falling Cycle" (EP), and As I Lay Dying "Frail Words Collapse". I was wanting to get one of the other full length TFU albums, but they were not available right now and I didn't want to miss out on my chance to get the self-titled ED album otherwise would have waited. As I Lay Dying is a band that I hadn't heard before but I like their sound so I'm happy with the purchase.

Well… that's about all for now. Beth is going to work and it's time for me to watch the baby.

I was planning to write at least one journal entry last week. I think this is the first time that I skipped an entire week over the past three months or so. Well... now I've gotta think of something to put in place of last weeks journal entry for my website. Maybe I'll load up some dragon images that I've been working on.

Rabbi gave me a kippah yesterday. Recently I've been discussing more things with him regarding Jewish/Hebrew traditions. We finally had a class to make and learn about tzitzits and I guess the kippah was the next step for me. I started by wearing it during our worship service. Rabbi gave me quite a bit of information to look at as far as wearing the "head covering", so I still need to study that regarding wearing it regularly other than during worship service.

My birthday is coming up next month, but I'm not sure if I'll be doing much to celebrate it. I don't have any vacation time and my birthday falls on a workday. I'm not counting on anything, but it would be cool to get a new game or something. I saw a new game called Bang! at the Funagain Games website which looked interesting and got several good reviews.

Since I'm on the subject, I did get a couple games last weekend. Beth and I went to the flea market and I found 13 Dead End Drive for $2. The box was beat up, dirty, and a little damp also the game board is warped some, but it looks like the set is complete. I put the board underneath my footlocker at home and hopefully that will flatten it out after a few days or so. I also picked up Clash Of The Lightsabers - a cool 2-player Star Wars card game. That was only $1 at a yard sale on the way home. The box was still in the wrap even! It looked like a decent game and after playing it I can say for sure that it's worth picking up for a reasonable price. I looked on eBay and found that there are several sets available for around $3-$5 right now. For an out-of-print game of this quality, that's a still a good price.

Thursday I visited Bob, a friend from Tel Aviv Messianic Fellowship. I had the baby with me, so I didn't stay for a long time, but I did stay long enough to chat for a while and play a few games of Clash Of The Lightsabers. I won a game and lost a game against Bob.

On Friday I was planning to visit Ernie and Dave, but that didn't work out so I went to visit my mom and pick up a weight bench. Since I had some games with me, I played Settlers Of Catan against my mom and sister. At first my mom couldn't remember how to play, but after a few rounds she was into the game and playing well. She blocked my supply of Ore, which I was counting on for the game and in the meantime she was collecting massive quantities of grain. Having the only 3:1 harbor all that grain served mom well and she won the game. I had a good time.

Looking back, I've had a busy week, but it was fun. I hope next week will be as educational and entertaining.
