My friend Dave (CineMax) gave me a birthday present - BattleBall by Hasbro/Milton Bradley. (Thanks goes to Ernie for the gift also.) Maybe he didn't want to forget and give it to me late, or maybe he just was anxious for me to get it. I don't know, but I'm thankful for it. I needed some cheering up after the last couple nights since I've basically been arguing with my wife about stuff happening at home and other family members.

Beth used my good mood as an opportunity to spring some more "bad news" on me. I'm not upset about it, although I might have been in my previous mood, but Beth apparently miscalculated tremendously (about 8% accuracy) on the amount of tile that was needed to cover the floor. She was just about ready to get working on it when she discovered this error last night. Oh well… I guess that will be another chore that I'll have this weekend - run to store to pick up about 10 times more tile.

After hearing the "bad news" of the night, I beat Ken (Voodoo) and then Dave at BattleBall. The game with Ken went pretty quick when I got a couple open shots at the end zone. The game against Dave was a bit longer and much more brutal. The first half of the game ended with me knocking out his Heavy Tackle and 3 other players with "Serious Injuries" before eliminating the rest of his team from the field for the first goal. The "Serious Injuries" from the first half were quite a handicap for Dave in the second half and I soon won my second BattleBall event.

I talked to Ken tonight about some business opportunities building web pages. Ken has been looking at doing graphic designs and just happened to come across some things about web design so he immediately thought of me. Hopefully I'll have an opportunity to use my skills to bring in some extra cash. I'm sure Beth would appreciate it. Finally my excuses for working on web design are validated.

I borrowed Catch Me If You Can from my friend CineMax because Beth really wanted to see it. It was a great movie; I only wish that I hadn't been told the ENTIRE story from someone at work. I guess it's my fault for not stopping the guy from telling me every detail, but I was really thinking that it wouldn't be that good of a movie and I'd be able to hold out from watching it for about a year if it was. Well... anyway, I'm glad I've seen it now, even if I wasn't surprised by what he was doing when I watched it.

I still don't know of anyone who will be coming over to celebrate my birthday next week. Most of my friends and family have to work when I have time off, so that makes it difficult. On top of that, living nearly an hour away from them makes it so they can't even drop by. Beth asked our rabbi if he'd be interested in coming over to play some board games next Thursday and he's the first person that I've heard agree to come. I wonder what kind of games he'd be interested in playing.

This week I have to keep a record of what I eat. Each other week for the Bradley class, Beth was supposed to record what foods she ate and now it's my turn. Well, I'm not starting off very well. Actually, I think I'm doing better than I would have if I didn't have to keep a record of it, but it might be because I'm not feeling well either and I'm trying to keep up my strength. Our baby has been sick and I'm really trying to fight off the sickness myself. I've been feeling a bit of a headache and a little sore throat, but hopefully it won't move into anything worse since I'm starting to feel better already.

We've had quite a busy week. Beth and I were supposed to write up our birth-plan for our Bradley class, but we haven't had much time together to think about it. Friday afternoon the two boys went back home to their mom (I'm happy for them) and our house is pretty quite again (I'm happy for me).

Last night I watched another video in Michael Rood's Prophecies in the Feasts of the LORD 4-video set. It's a great video set that we've borrowed from a friend. I'd really like to get it and I was hoping that they'd have it available on DVD but I didn't find it online. The VHS set is $80 anyway, but a DVD set would still be preferable for me. (Chaptering would be nice for finding those spots that I've been thinking about.)

We purchased some books from Amazon.com last week - Where the Sidewalk Ends, A Light in the Attic, and Falling Up. I received the package yesterday so I read some of the poems to Beth, practicing some relaxation techniques in preparation for child birth.
