We've been out with the babies a little more this week. On Wednesday I took our little girl to see my brother. Yesterday we took both babies out to Sam's Club in the double stroller. (It's a good thing we didn't buy much because having the stroller in the trunk didn't leave much room for food.) Today we went to see some other friends in the area. We didn't stay out much, but by the time we got home our little girl was ready for bed. She was quite cranky during the ride home.
Yesterday our boy's remaining umbilical cord fell off. Also the plastibell for his circumcision came off. Beth wanted me to make sure that I wrote that down.
We watched The Hulk and The In-Laws this week. I liked both movies. I think that with The Hulk it would have been better if the teenage seen had been cut since the teen Bruce didn't look at all like the adult Bruce to me and it really didn't seem to add anything to the plot. The In-Laws starring Michael Douglas was funny and exciting. I don't remember any real flaws and Beth really liked it too.
I've got a massive headache right now. I think I know what it's from but I'm not positive. I was cleaning out a lunchbox that I've had in the garage for a while. When I brought it in the house Beth thought that I should use some alcohol to clean it up some more. I got a bottle of rubbing alcohol out of the cupboard and dumped a little in the bottom of the lunchbox, then I wiped it all out. Beth made some chocolate cake so I grabbed a piece and put it into a plastic bag. I think that somehow the alcohol was absorbed through the plastic and into the cake. I'm sure I'll be ready to go right to bed when I get home from work.
Yesterday was my first day back from work after my paternal leave. I was in for quite a surprise when I got to work. In addition to receiving over 100 work related email message while I was away, I found out that there were going to be several administrators along with some management people coming in to do some changes. The power was going to be turned off and our bare minimum servers were going to be dependant on the UPS system to supply power to them. I was busy from the time I got in the door until it was time to go home. I was a little disappointed that I didn't have any free time, but at least the night went by quickly and without many problems.
