Not sure if you (or I) misunderstood, but the "sticker box" was actually a selling point for me.
I dig that it's a "piece of Tyco history" if you will.
I sent an email to the seller, and they said that it was working a couple years ago and just sitting on a shelf ever since so they just assumed it was fine. FWIW they were pretty cool about it and did offer me a refund.
ALSO, it just so happens that a guy I've been talking to over at the URC forums sent me the electronics and remote for a Rebound. I just got it today, and the remote works for the Dagger so at least I can drive it! (also works for my Maxx Traxx and Triple Wheels
) It's not worth paying for return shipping, especially now that I have a working remote for it, so at this point I would rather keep the Dagger.
The good: Car runs w/ Rebound remote, prototype "sticker box" & insert is very cool/rare, car itself looks almost new, fair price, seller offered to accept return
The bad: Included remote not working, AFAIK the car is a regular production model- not a prototype as described.
BTW, I mentioned in my last post that I'm probably better off with a regular production model than a prototype. However, after studying that picture on the printed insert, I think the prototype shown has a metal chassis. I could be wrong, but if that's the case - I WANT...
