Happy Easter everyone! Be sure to remember the Sacrifice and Resurrection of Jesus Christ during this holiday. The Gospel of Luke tells this story. If you are a comic book fan, or know someone who is, you might want to check out the Word For Word Bible Comics, which do a great job of giving visuals for some of the most famous, and infamous stories of the Bible. The Gospel Of Luke comic is due in a few months from the Kickstarter campaign, but if you are interested in any of the previously released comics, check out www.wordforwordbiblecomic.com.

The Epistles of Galatians & James Word for Word Bible Comic arrived in the mail yesterday! I was reading The Epistle of James last night and noticed a page that I think really flies in the face of the prosperity preachers.

James 4:1-3

What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.
