Fixing hairline stress cracks in plastic.
« on: February 20, 2012, 22:28:43 »
I got a small hairline stress crack on an RC where screws would attach the body to the chassis.  Not a big deal but would like to prevent it from getting worse.  Had the idea to run a match over it and see if it would schmelt the crack away, but not sure if its a good idea.  Also had the idea to just drip a thin layer of model cement over the crack.  Any ideas?

If its in a spot thick enough id try to plastic weld it,,but if its just on the underside out of sight some good model cement should do the trick.
Hit it Mr.butters!!!
