Sticker/Decal Glue
« on: March 07, 2013, 00:46:01 »
I'm sure most of you run into the same problem, At some point the stickers/decals start lifting on these old R/C's. I've tried a few different glues over time, rubber cement being the best thus far, but its a pain in the ass to get it to stick and even then it will some times start lifting again, An or you had luck with something else? I was considering trying spray adhesive.

I use clear double sided tape and it works well. I pulled a few stickers up and cleaned off the old glue, then I lay on the tape strips. You can get in in the stationary section of a store, but I'm using left over double stick tape from a window insulation kit.

I have used clear parts of decal sheets. The best fix that i have so far is getting another object with strong adhesive like a thick sticker and putting sticky side  to the lifted decal and blowdrying right onto it.  the dryer heats up both decals and transfers adhesive to the needed decal.
