I just started playing Genesis "Old School Fantasy Gaming" - a text based game, and a MUD (Multi User Dungeon). This game is played online, with lots of other people online at the same time. Much like the modern MMORPG, this MUD allows players to interact with each other, coming into the same areas and talking, or even fighting, but everything is done through text commands. There is even a "Magic Map" using ASCII art. I'm still just in the first town, but so far I've been enjoying the game and would recommend anyone who is interested in text based games to give it a try.
