Tyco information wanted
« on: October 13, 2008, 22:28:14 »
I'm doing research on Tyco / Radio Control cars for a school report (and subsequently, this site) and I'd like to get some books or magazine articles for reference information. The Tyco R/C website doesn't provide any historical information but I have found a couple other sites that give the origination of the company but nothing much about the R/C cars of the 80s and 90s, so I was wondering if any Tyco fanatics out there could refer me to some good books or magazines that might shed some light on the subject. Or... if you really know your stuff, maybe we could talk.

The only book I know if is The Complete Color Guide to Tyco H.O. Slot Cars by Dan Esposito, a former  tyco employee.   I got a yellow tyco  outlaw from him which was displayed at Tyco headquarters in NJ! :D     I have a folder of spare parts order forms of bandits and what not.  Maybe one day I'll get around to scanning them.

Thanks very much for the info.

That's cool that you've got an Outlaw from HQ!
