My wife went out early on Black Friday to get some great deals. She came home with some things that we've wanted and needed and got some great savings.
Our friends Tim and Kimby came to visit this weekend on Friday night and we had a good time with them. They stayed until Sunday evening before heading back to Alabama. We had a good time while they were here, but it was not without trouble. Although the kids enjoyed having other kids to play with, they clashed quite a bit. We all had fun playing with the Wii, a few board games, going to the park, watching movies, and just hanging out.
Sunday evening, we went out to Wal-Mart and Toys R Us to see if there were any sale items left from overstocking. Wal-Mart still had plenty of movies and clothes. We picked up some pajamas for the kids cheap and a few DVDs including the new Transformers movie with a special edition Bumblebee mask for only $6. Of course, many of the sale items that my wife picked up on Friday were cleared out, but there's no doubt that you can still find good deals even after Black Friday if you continue to shop around.
