frequency coils in remotes and cars. and steering for hopper
« on: December 29, 2010, 17:05:16 »
is there a difference in the frequency coil in the remote and the one in the car? could i take one out of a remote and put it in a car?

i want to make a super fast traxx a 49mhz since they r all 27 and i have 3 extra 49mhz remotes so could i take one outy of each remote and put one in the car and one in the remote?

next subject.
the steering in my black wild thing doesn't work at all any suggestions to what is wrong?

iam pretty sure you would need the reciever end of the 49mhz, since the remtes only transmit.

as for the steering in the wild thing, make sure that function is working in the remote, the red bandit i bought wouldnt steer, turned out the remote wasnt working. if thats not it, its most likeley the board itself, ive bought a few eliminators and bandits-same board, and it seems the steering is the first funtion to go out, you could get a test light or volt meter and see if its doing anything at the servo when you press the turn button, if not then its something in the board, if its getting power than the servo may need taken apart and cleaned or just replace with another out of something else.

ps whered you score another two eliminators at?

okay so another problem. my twin hopper and the lambo i peiced to gether. when you turn they do not straiten themselves out. you manually need to turn the opposite direction and try to make it straight. what is the problem, and what do you suggest to fix it?

are the two cars sharing the same remote? if so id try another remote, or when there stuck turned turn the remote off, see if the wheel straighten out, if so its the remote, you may need to take the servo apart and clean it too

I sold a red one but it had no range at all
As for the black one that is the one I'm building that the steering doesn't center the body rubs the tires because they aren't the originals so it is in my projects pile
