One of my current favorite YouTubers posted a video called "The problem with using AI to help you learn (programming, and in general)" and I agree with him. The biggest problem is that people aren't giving themselves a chance to think as much. He gave an analogy about people in the past looking something up in an encyclopedia, knowing beforehand what they were wanting to learn about. Of course, I remember those days, and I also remember finding random articles along the way which would send me down a rabbit hole of many other subjects in the encyclopedia before I'd finally get back on track with what I had planned. But, as I've mentioned to my wife recently, it's like how the teachers would say that you're allowed to use the calculator only once you know how to do the math. In this case, if we don't give ourselves the true opportunity to learn, we will be in debt to AI forever.
