"Turbo"
by SavedONE on 2011-01-13 18:33:18 UTC
-I was looking at the Tyco dealer's catalog posted by TycoBanditKing, &
got to thinking, there is NO turbo to be spoken of in these, turbo deals
with air, my Dad has a tri-axle dumptruck, w/ a caterpillar turbodiesel
engine, on a haul about 3 weeks ago, it "blew the turbo", then it had to
be towed on one of those huge wreckers back to Dad's shop.
-I'm not trying to be a stick-in-the-mud or anything like that. I do
recall when I was little, I told my Dad about my "9.6v Turbo Bandit". and
he was like kinda laughing, "Turbo, huh"-LOL ::)

-Yeah. Had fun w/that Bandit tho. We had a tile floor,

Technically no, but....... Turbo is derived from the word turbine which is a device that produces boost, more commonly defined as a jet turbine but still boost. In essence the motherboard on these trucks produces a boost. So in a way they are turbo powered. So rock on 9.6v turbo!!
