ill have to get some good pictures of my modded bandit!
right now im pondering with the idea of the twin aero hopper tires and wheels for the hobby grade bandit should really look kick azz with those on it, if i do it, ill post up pics of that too
by czstycor/c on 2011-04-21 20:55:54 UTC
preformer--- i was thinking the high jacker tires would look sweet on it, plus the aero hopper tires aren't the same width.
but you need to do mine! haha
by performerrpm on 2011-04-21 23:43:12 UTC
i should beable to do one sometime next month or so. when ya get ready let me know.
yeah the twin tires are a little skinnier, but i think taller too, think it may help keep all 4 wheels on the ground.
i also like the looks of the hi jacker wheels, but dont wanna buy awhole hi jacker for the wheels
by czstycor/c on 2011-04-22 01:01:17 UTC
the guy on ebay selling tires may have what you want i told him if he finds another hi jacker set that ill buy them, him dad worked for tyco so he had all these parts from when he died.
if i get those tires i can send you money for parts and the truck.

by stan on 2011-05-26 23:09:54 UTC
Did you do any IC's in that remote. how Are they connected? I was thinking using an up/down counter IC hopping it would count the lights up one way then back down but i never tried. To much work for me now days.

so heres the wee jet hopper ive built for my 8 year old daughter to run along side my grass hopper. got this car as a parts car was only after the shell for my shelfer. first up the hopper wasnt working due to battreys leaking and making a right mess of it so i striped everything out including the servo and fitted hobby grade radio gear on top of them i fitted a square 9.6v batt pack [ 4 aa long and 2 high. but this made the car too top heavy and caused it to tip over alot. so i striped it down again a cut and trimed the inside of the chassis so i could get a 9.6v flat pack in the bottom nice and low down with the radio gear and BEC speed control on top. this set up seems to work alot better as she hasent rolled it yet.
http://youtu.be/4X36IZCPK2g
then the body was removed a put on my shelf queen and a old body painted up to match the basher body on my 14 turn grasshopper.

by poptart on 2011-08-13 18:59:22 UTC
Rod that's cool i have a 8 year old daughter as well and she about fell over in her chair once she saw the goggley eyes Lil nice touch, now a must for her next RC project
by rodncathstewart on 2011-08-13 19:32:46 UTC
thanks. i cant take the credit for the lights as they where her idea. she had been watching the movie cars that morning. and said to me could we not put some eyes on the car ive got some in my art box that might fit. somtimes kids have the coolest ideas. :D
by poptart on 2011-08-14 00:32:18 UTC
True story they really do,,,mine wants to put the wheels and tires off a hammer on the bandit and lift it so she can crush cars with it lol she hates the colors of the hammer so im gonna do it as soon as i find some beaters
by rodncathstewart on 2011-08-14 10:56:16 UTC
sounds like a plan. don't forget to take some pics lol. was thinking a lifted bandit would look cool too. if i had a bandit shell laying around i would be tempted to fit it on a tamiya lunch box. think the Nissan body would look well smart sitting high with the balloon tyres.
by djdarkforces on 2011-11-18 21:57:46 UTC

It looks like the 4wd chassis. I don't think the blaster body was ever on the 4wd chassis from the factory.
by poptart on 2012-03-07 05:06:08 UTC
it does doesnt it?,,the blaster normally sits higher up in the back, and the blasters tires are smaller in the front like most 9.6v 2wd hoppers unlike the one in the vid,,he prob took the drive shafts out and just put the blaster body on it.
by Ridiculawesome on 2012-03-12 06:05:14 UTC
I saw this Ebay post this morning and it made me laugh:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-TYCO-Fast-Traxx-R-C-RC-Radio-Controlled-Car-w-NEW-9-6v-Batt-Charger-/300677019808?pt=Radio_Control_Vehicles&hash=item4601bf38a0#ht_3433wt_1141
Read the description, you'll know what I mean. Anyway, it was posted as Buy Now for $999.99 until people started bidding at $99.99 I would not touch that thing for that amount knowing that it has cracks and broken parts. Possibly a stripped H/L gear too.
In his description he goes on about "The Kid Down the Street," I wonder if he's referring to himself? :P

thats right, it looks like the chassis for the super turbo hopper i once had. it was black/blue/yellow. it had the black shock towers and yellow shocks on it. now that i think about it, i also once had a red super turbo hopper that it may be from. i cant recall now. but definitely a 4wd chassis.
and oh yeah, that guys description of his fast traxx is just dripping with douchebaggery. i wouldnt give him a nickel. ::)
poptart, that red bandit body with the flo yellow decals looks right on that eliminator chassis ;D
by poptart on 2012-03-14 08:38:21 UTC
thanks stussels ;D,,,maaaaaan i bout fell out when i read that fast traxx description lmao!!
