Need a Baja Bandit pic please...

by Gamester on 2011-11-07 04:33:58 UTC

Hey guys,

If anyone could get me a good pic of the underside of a Baja Bandit body, dismounted from the chassis, it would be most appreciated.  I need to see if the older Bandit bodies had the secondary rear mounting posts for a project I am working on.

Thanks

Ah, no love?  Come on guys, I know some of you have Baja Bandits ::)

I think I even sold one to somebody here once, lol.

As a hint, if I can get the info I need, my current project could benefit all Bandit owners in a big way ;)

Hey Scorcher,

Thanks for the response and I have been doing good.

I will let everyone know when my project is complete.  Should be 2-3 weeks before completion.

If all goes well, I will have something pretty cool to offer up for the classic Tyco community ;D

i dont have a baja but i have 2 different bandits that i could take a pic of if it will help,,1 is a red with the gear switch in the rear and live axel and the other is a black with the gear switch thru the bed with the solid axel,,,maybe when they dropped the baja stickering some of the black body's carried over? idk just a thought

Hey poptart,

I think that would be helpful.  I mainly just want to know if the older Bandits that had the non-solid rear axle, with switch on the back and open differential, had the additional wider mounting posts in the rear like the later ones. I think they did, but I just want to make sure.  I would be interested in seeing the underside of that body.

Thanks

Excellent photos!  It does look like the plastic molding and posts are the same on all Bandit underbodies.  Thanks a bunch poptart.  I really appreciate it  ;)

I should be back in a couple weeks to offer up my Tyco related item that I think you will all like a lot ;D

Thanks again
