it should be. i can swap remotes with my fast traxx,bandit,typhoon and Lamborghini. if they are the same mhz. so i don't see why it would not work.

All you have to do is check the back of the remote for the 3 color tag, if its color is brown yellow and green it will work on a 27mhz hammer. If you have a 49mhz hammer you need one with the silver blue and black tag. It doesnt matter if its pistol or square remote either, ive even used twin turbo lambo pistol grip on my 9.6 fast traxx. For example
