Hey, that's my project!

Today, I cut some ABS plastic for the controller and battery boxes.
I ordered some better 9.6 batteries a while back.

I should have the box plasti-welded up later this week.

Then from there it shouldn't be long before I get to do a test run.

It's a simple design. Pretty much 2 complete cars on the same frequency.

Yea, i'll get some pics up of the project soon.
Although, it all started a long time ago with my little brother.

We chopped up 2 fast traxx (YIKES!!) and built the skimpy metal frame for it. And back then we didnt really understand electronics too much so it never worked right.

But now that im a little older and wiser......its gonna be great :-)

I actually bought a new fast traxx in the box locally, when I drove the 2 hours to pick it up I realized it was way too nice to use anything out of that box, so I had to buy a used fast traxx to use the remote from it.

what can you do :-)

Today, I spent about an hour "plasti-welding" a box the exact size I needed.
It looks kinda like crap....but it sturdy!

Had to cut 5 pieces of plastic to my specs and "weld" them together.

I'll get some pics up before too long of everything now that the ball has started rolling a little faster.
Mainly b/c its been raining so much here and I'm stuck inside until it stops.
Ive been building a 7x20 foot storage shed and almost have the roof framed :-)

But if its raining out, I gotta keep busy and what better way to do it then blow time building a childish machine that will hopefully put a giant smile on my, well......childish face :-)

and thats almost a direct quote from the wife, haha!

Hit a roadblock! I was trying to mock up my "evil traxx" and found one of my speed control units is toast!

I have 2 other 49mhz fast traxx but one is BRAND NEW and the other is right behind it (but I do play with that one inside)

So Its off to the internet to find a green fast traxx.

anyone have one for sale? it can be busted up as long as the motors will still function good (or you know the motor is bad but the speed controller is good)

Im trying to get pics up soon..

Crappy frame... Please note this was built years ago with one of those little play metal kits.

Plasti-welding the box. (my plastic "soldering" iron is missing so I had to do the ole torch and screwdriver trick....so its not pretty!)

Perfect fitment!!

What body do you plan to fit this with?

And I have multiple fast traxx but I'm in the process of ridding them all of stripped gears and what not so you would need to wait for me, so just go to eBay!!!

Body??? who needs that! haha

No body in the plans. Just a crazy looking tank thingy.

I'm going to build a top for the speed controller box to keep dirt out though.

Do you have any of the circuit boards your not going to need from the core of the fast traxx?

if so let me know and how much your looking to get.

Thanks!
