Different motors? (TYCO OUTLAW)
« on: March 19, 2009, 20:42:32 »
ok, so i got 2 more tyco outlaws today. perfect bodies and plastic. good bumpers to  :) so, i noticed the two motors here. the one on the left is the one that was in the gear box. it has a smaller tooth gear on it. also, i noticed the gear box with the wheels, its a limited slip diff?! all my other outlaws have posi. witch one would be the better one to use? also...the motor thats on the left, it has a alum cover on top of the motor when u go to put it in the gear box.  just wanna know if theres different gearing between the two different gear boxes. the motor on the left has 8 teeth, and the one on the right has 10 teeth. heres a few pics.....

It's hard to say if the gearing is different just by looking at the pinion gear, because I dont know what the rest of the gearing is like. Are the rear tires the same diameter?
Maybe some one will chime in that know's the tranny's better then me.

If you want to know what motor has more power between the 2, peek inside and look at the armature, the one with the ticker wire and less wire turns will pull more power.
