« on: March 06, 2009, 00:46:51 »
i just wanted to say i think out of all the RC cars that i have owned even the hobby grade ones i like the tyco bandits the best. they just look great and they are amazingly quite fast. i had two of them as a child and just bought two a cuple days ago.i forgot just how fast they are until i got these ones. i bought them from mark and  they are in very good shape for there year.i dont know how everybody else fells about them but i love them. well i am sure everybody feels the same.

I have fond memories of the Tyco Bandit. I definitely think it's one of the coolest looking RC trucks ever. When the timing is right I'll get another one.
"Hello IT. Have you tried turning it off and on again? ... OK, well, the button on the side. Is it glowing?... Yeah, you need to turn it on. Err, the button turns it on. Yeah, you do know how a button works, don't you? No, not on clothes." - Roy (The IT Crowd)

The Bandit is all I could think about as a kid. Did'nt help Tyco was running commercials all the time between cartoons.  ;D
I never did get one as a kid from mom&dad, but ones of my friends did. About a year after he got his for christmas, I traded him my nikko/lobo vertion of fast track for it. I still have the Bandit...well about 80% of it anywas.

I did notice Bandits hardly ever show up on ebay...I should of bid more on the hoppers last week.  :-\

Tamiya makes a nissian king cab also...and it also very exspensive and vintage.
Only
-Tyco.
-Nikko

ah yes the bandit days. i got the truck when i was a kid. i cut grass all summer for the money and i still think it was worth it. i took that truck back to toys r us 3 times because of bad gears and they never asked any questions. wish i had one today but all i have now is the eleminator same thing but somehow not as cool. the search is still underway for one and if anyone has one i still have a lawnmower. lol

Hey fellow bandit owners and dreamers.  I can't believe that i found people like myself that have bandits from when we were kids and their still around.  I am a new member on here but agree with everyone that has to be the best damn rc truck on the market.  I had 2 of them red and the black one.  Still to this day i have the red one still n original package, receipt, charger and battery.  Was reading a forum in 2008 these things were selling for around 400 bucks is that true?

There probably have been several near that price, especially the mint ones in the box. The Tyco Lamborghinis that we've noticed in another thread are $200 - $300 right now. Of course, you can get lucky and find them for less than $100, and sometimes even in thrift stores (although I haven't ever been that lucky) but that will take a lot more patience to get one.

haha just wait till you see pictures of my collection, once i get the one from you. you will be shocked how much it has grown. its grown so much i have two fast traxx on ebay and the nikko road shredder. and will probably list more!

But i guess i should be happy with my 4by4 bandit, since i only know one other person with one which is sayer, he has my counter part the 27mhz, but he has the body i have.
